My parents bought a Soundblaster 16 for their first computer, and it came with a bunch of awesome games like Ultima Underworld, 7 Cities of Gold, Populous II, Syndicate Plus, Wing Commander II, Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, and a couple other great ones that I just can't remember at the moment!

Syndicate Plus, Wing Commander II,

The good old days of gaming I wish I could find a copy i question if I can run it today's standards with Dos box.🤓

You can get a copy of both on gog.com but idk if that's what you're looking for. That's how I got all my old DOS games I used to love. Shouldn't need to use Dosbox to run them either.

I got the wing commander series as a bundle off gog and they didn't need a dosbox for the early games.

Yeah if I remember right (been a while since I played my GOG UW), when you first launch, it opens the game in Doxbox, like they bundled a preconfigured dosbox with the game so you don't have to.

I remember seeing similar bundles sold as "Multimedia Kits" in the early-mid 90s where I lived. They would include a SB16 compatible, CD drive, speakers and some software, typically an encyclopedia and cheap edutainment titles, but you would occasionally find proper games on some of them. Getting them to work right on your typical offbrand/generic mobo could easily be a daylong project.
