I dreamed about the “talky” version of Fate of Atlantis back in the day. I didn’t have a CD drive at the time.

Listening now…lol that actor sounds nothing like Harrison Ford. I knew it never was but I thought they would get someone that sounded a bit closer to the real thing.

Its obviously not Harrison Ford but it does sound like a pretty good impression of Harrison ford

It’s weird how some of these games hold up and others don’t. My first game was Sonic 1. I can still play it today and have a blast. Some of those other games on Genesis though? shudders

Exactly right. The market was new so developers were seeing what they could do with the hardware (as they are today). I have nostalgia for the old days of gaming, but the new games coming out are incredible. I really think the golden age of gaming is right now. I just got a PS4 last year and I have so many quality titles it’s mind blowing. Back then I wondered “will this game work?” now I wonder “how great is this game going to be?” Of course there are still games that don’t deliver, but it definitely seems like there are more quality studios and titles out there then ever.

The voice actor was Harrison Fords brother.

It sounds like a pretty good impression of Bruce Campbell.

Loved the game as a kid but was confused on so many parts. Lack of internet those days made some of these things impossible

Fate of Atlantis, Sam and max, day of the tentacle, curse of monkey island… the point and click adventure games were so good.

Man I love that game. I was hooked with that first puzzle trying to get out of the attic having to combine a rope some old mayonnaise and something else to make an escape.
